What better way to spend a wet weekend than to try something new! Photography is my thing, but I do love art stores and paints, so I thought I try my hand at some watercolour-based mixed-media doodles. These are all things I could see from the windows - from left to right, top to bottom: flax, rain, kawakawa leaf, Pseudopanax species leaves, ngaio branch against the sky, tauhou (silver eye), akeake leaf, akeake seed capsules, and a random fern.

Glammed up with some Daler-Rowney shimmer ink and handmade pink pearlescent watercolour paint! Too much fun was had!

The original has sold, but limited-edition A5-size hand-embellished prints are available. They are printed on fine-art paper, hand-signed, and embellished with pearlescent inks and paints. The edition length is 30.
